CSV → JSON
Convert a CSV file to JSON. Values stay as text exactly as written, so leading zeros and long IDs are kept.
Your file stays on this device. It is converted in your browser’s memory, never uploaded and not saved to site storage.

How the conversion works
- Values are never converted to numbers, dates or true/false; they stay text, as written in the file.
- Quoted values may contain the delimiter, quotes and line breaks.
- Blank lines are skipped. Lines that contain only delimiters are kept as rows of empty values.
- Empty or repeated column names are renamed (for example “id_2”), and the result lists every rename.
- Rows with too few values get null for the missing fields; extra values are kept in an “_extra” list. Both are reported.
- The file must be UTF-8. Files saved in other encodings are rejected rather than converted with garbled characters.
